Cheetah resting on a rock, judging.
I’ve been a *little*busy recently (sigh!) but finally found a chance to post some of my favorites from Tanzania.
Few places could be more exotic than places like the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara, all which come with some fantastic names as well. We went on a grand camping safari through those places before we flew to Dar es Salaam and then to the magnificent Arabian island of Zanzibar. There was so much to see and too much to photograph, but I did my best. I also can’t remember the specific names of all the animals, so I’m not going to try to label them all here. You can read about how to safari in Tanzania on my other blog, www.MyTravelHats.com. Check back for pictures from Zanzibar next! Enjoy!
Quiet over the Serengeti

The fourth picture down is simply stunning. I enjoyed the one with the pelican as well. Congrats on being freshly pressed.
What beautiful images! I absolutely love to photograph wildlife as well but have only had experience with South African safaris.. Tanzania is on top of my list along with Namibia. Hopefully soon 🙂
Also, I really love the photo of the lilac breasted roller. I’ve captured them on film, however, mine didn’t turn out as vivid and sharp as yours. Beautiful.
Beautiful!! I want to go!!

Those are some wonderful shots! It really must have been a great experience, seeing all that in person 🙂
Really breathtaking shots! I especially love the cheetah – not easy to get a shot of these majestic chaps. They eluded me completely during my Kenya trip.

Impressive photos!!!
There’s just something about 8985. The two birds on the gray tree is a great shot.
Thanks for posting!
Happy holidays!
Love Tanzania! We went two years ago and it was one of the best adventures, with so many photos to sift through months afterwards. Enjoyed your pictures, good memories. We hope to go back one day, but with a baby on the way will have to wait a couple of years. I highly recommend Tanzania to anyone. We also went to the Lake Tanganyika- absolutely fabulous and another taste of a beautiful environment, people, and animals.
Heey! Awesome shot of the animals, especially the Cheetah which is my girlfriend’s nickname for me – and the title of my soon to be active internet radio network.
kudos on being “pressed” like extra virgin olive oil 🙂
