Red Kite Studios is a photography workshop started by me, Rin-rin Yu (pronounced like RIN-RIN… yes, just like that) as a place to showcase some of my favorite recent snapshots.

As a print and broadcast journalist for many years, I found that a camera was always a practical and natural extension, like a third hand or extra doors on my two-door car. Soon I began to spend more time snapping photos of anything and everything I found interesting, and a habit was formed. Since this website started, my work has been featured in Washingtonian, the Washington Post and The New York Times.

I am based in the Washington, D.C. area. Currently, I am taking a hiatus from the business side of my photography to focus on my artistic side.
